عالم فيزياء نظرية إيطالي، عمل في إيطاليا وفي الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، ويعمل حاليًا في فرنسا. تمحور عمله حول جاذبية الكم، كما عمل إيضًا في تاريخ وفلسفة العلم.
صدر له كتاب “نظام الزمن” والذي تُرجم للعربية وصدرت ترجمته عن دار التنوير، وهو أحد أهم الكتب العلمية الصادرة في عام 2018.
