Javier Martínez Riberte is a Spanish writer, traveler, and journalist, born in Madrid in 1944. He is the brother of writer and journalist Jorge Martínez Riberte and the son of journalist Jesús Martínez Tessier. He studied philosophy and journalism, and was a correspondent in London , Paris and Lisbon . In his journalistic career, he was deputy editor of the Pueblo newspaper . He was also a radio and television director. He won the Ciudad de Torrebeja Prize for Fiction in 2001.
